Technical forward planning and project engineering

As a Senior Technical Forward Planning and Project Engineer my work involved research and development planning and testing of military specification prototype turboshaft helicopter engines for the Lynx, Sea King, and Blackhawk military helicopters at the Rolls-Royce Leavesden site.

These types of engine are built to high tolerances and operate at very high temperatures. Our work involved preparation and running of these engines on dynamometer test beds as well as in situ on the air frame to pre-planned test envelopes.
